What is RFID CHIP?

You have probably heard about RFID chip in today's article we will discuss about What is RFID Chip ?  RFID chip is also known as Radio Frequency identification Chip which uses electromagnetic waves technology for automatic identification of attached objects.

The users can use this technology for identification,credit card payments and unlocking doors.This is widely used in Sweden and around 4000 people have already been chipped.

It is easily inserted very close to skin surface this is usually done with hyperdermic-type needle.

WORKING

This chip has readers these readers send signals to tags,these tags send back signals to readers.The tags are mounted onto the objects identified.

TYPES OF TAGS

1.ACTIVE TAG

This tag is has on-board battery and transmits ID signals.

2.PASSIVE TAG

This tag is cheaper and smaller in size because this tag has no on on-board battery attached.

This tag works on radio energy which is transmitted by reader.

This tag must be illuminated by by thousand times higher power level than an active tag for signal transmission.

If many tags come within the range of RFID reader this reader can read these all tags simultaneously.

TYPES OF READER

1.PRAT(Passive Reader Active Tag)

This system has a passive reader which can receive signal only from active tags.

2.ARPT(Active Reader Passive Tag)

This system has a active reader which can receive signal  from active as well as passive tags.

3.ARAT(Active Reader Active Tag)

This system has a passive reader and can receive signal from active tags.

USES

This chip can be used for various purposes such as tracking of goods,animals,people, airport baggage can also be used for tracking and billing payments.
