In the past years MediaTek processors had many customer complaints regarding heating issues and unstable custom ROMs but nowadays It has improved a lot started giving competition to its competitor Qualcomm Snapdragon.It has started giving competition in some mid range and low range smartphones and targeting brands like Xiaomi and realme. It has not launched it's processor in any android flagship phone yet.
Lets Do the technical and speed test comparison and find out which processor is best among Snapdragon vs Mediatek.
Snapdragon 720G vs MediaTek Helio G90T
1.AnTuTu Benchmark v8.2.4
The AnTuTu score of Snapdragon 720G was 28000 and The AnTuTu score of Helio G90T was 29000.
Mediatek performed well in terms of AnTuTu benchmarks and completed the test faster than Snapdragon.
2.Geek Bench Score
The Single core geek bench score of Snapdragon 720G was 567 and the Helio G90T was 508.
And the Multi core geek bench score of Snapdragon 720G was 1668 and The Helio G90T was 1675.
Snapdragon 720G leads in single core score whereas Helio G90T leads in multi core score.
3.App opening speed test
Most of the applications opened almost at the same time in both processors.
Both performed well in this test and nobody is a clear winner.
4.Ram Management
When we do Ram management test in both the smartphones and open heavy apps like instagram,PUBG and other gaming apps. MediaTek is a clear winner it took less time for managing heavy applications.
5.Fabrication
Helio G90T has 12nm fabrication and Snapdragon 720G has 8nm fabrication.Snapdragon processor
provides better power efficiency than the MediaTek processor.
6.CPU
The Snapdragon 720G has two cortex A76 performance cores clocked at 2.3 GHz and six cortex A55 efficiency cores clocked at 1.8 GHz whereas the Helio G90T has two cortex A76 performance cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and six cortex A55 efficiency cores clocked at 2.0 GHz
7.GPU
The Snapdragon 720G has Adeno 618 GPU and Helio G90T has 4 core Mali G76 3EEMC4A GPU.Both are great GPUs and both of them supports gaming at 1080p.
8.Modem
The Snapdragon 720G has 4G X15 LTE modem has a download speed of 800 Mbps and upload speed of 150 Mbps.The Helio G90T has 4G Integrated LTE modem has a download speed of 600 Mbps and upload speed of 150 Mbps.
Conclusion
Helio G90T has a little bit better gaming performance than Snapdragon 720G because we can see the benchmarks results but you won't find any significant difference between these processors in daily tasks and you have to compromise in AI performance in Meditek G90T.
